Learning a language is not just about the words spoken but also includes the learning about culture, traditions, food, songs, and celebrations from where the language originates. Our Year 3, 4, and 5 students have been learning Indonesian alongside their classroom teachers for the past three years and they love it. On Monday the group celebrated Indonesia’s Independence Day with games, food, music, and dancing. It is great to see all of our students getting involved in what can only be described as a great day in at Carlisle PS.
