Parents & Community - P & C

Parents & Citizens Association

The Parents & Citizens Association is the forum for parents and citizens in government schools who have an interest in their children's education. The Carlisle Primary School P&C Association Inc. is made up of parents and community members, just like yourselves, who meet regularly throughout the school year. Put simply, the P&C is you.

The P&C is responsible for running the Uniform Shop (volunteer parents) and the School Canteen. The P&C pays a Canteen Supervisor and relies on volunteer parents/community members to assist with food preparation and serving.

The P&C meet on the Thursday of week 3 and 7 in the Uniform Shop and all parents are welcome to attend. If you are unable to come to a meeting, then feel free to contact any member of the committee and express your point of view, or leave a submission in writing at the office, addressed to the P&C Secretary.

You don't have to be a P&C member to volunteer

The P&C also holds many events through the year for fundraising, such as stalls, raffles and a school disco. Fundraising is an important function of the P&C. As we are a non-profit organisation, all funds raised by the P&C are used for the benefit of the students attending the school. This can be in the form of providing facilities or infrastructure to improve the school. You, as a parent/care giver, have every right to expect that these funds raised will be used to the benefit of the students of Carlisle Primary School.
